The National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) has officially unveiled a digital Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) platform to track the implementation of its N19.5 billion AgGrow Farm Support Programme, aimed at supporting 50,000 smallholder farmers nationwide. Launched in Abuja, the initiative offers a 50% subsidy on essential farm inputs—seeds, fertilizers, and crop protection products—targeting farmers in maize, rice, cassava, and soybeans value chains across all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

According to NADF’s Executive Secretary, Mohammed Ibrahim, the platform was designed to ensure transparency and efficiency in resource distribution, enabling the Fund to monitor every seed, input, and naira spent from allocation to field usage. He noted that this effort supports national food security goals while enhancing the productivity and profitability of local farmers.

Additionally, the programme aims to strengthen linkages between farmers and processors, reduce dependency on middlemen, and improve access to quality raw materials for the agro-processing industry. The digital system also incorporates extension services and advisory tools to promote best farming practices.
