Bandits Kill Farmer in Kaduna State as Violence Escalates in Giwa

Kaduna State has once again witnessed a tragic attack as terrorists, locally referred to as bandits, opened fire on farmers on Friday evening in Giwa Local Government Area. The area shares boundaries with Birnin Gwari, known as the epicenter of banditry in the state, which has repeatedly suffered similar attacks.

According to sources, the incident occurred in Kayawa village, where farmers were working on separate farms. The bandits suddenly appeared, unleashed gunfire, and fled. Tragically, one farmer, identified as Jamilu Ibrahim, was shot and later killed with swords.

Residents have expressed fear over the growing insecurity in the region, calling for urgent intervention from security agencies to protect lives and livelihoods.

This latest attack adds to a worrying trend of violence in Kaduna State, highlighting the ongoing challenges of banditry in northern Nigeria.
