TROOPS ARREST NOTORIOUS GUN RUNNERS, RECOVER ARMS IN KADUNA
Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have arrested three notorious gun runners and recovered arms and ammunition during a raid at Golgokofa village in Godogodo Chiefdom, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The intelligence-led operation, carried out on Wednesday, led to the arrest of 65-year-old Adamu Musa, 35-year-old Lukman Isah, and 25-year-old Umar Jammo.
According to Major Samson Nantip Zhakom, Media Information Officer of OPSH, troops recovered one AK-47 rifle, a fabricated gun, an AK-47 magazine, one round of 7.62mm special ammunition, and three motorcycles during the raid.
The suspects are currently in custody and have made useful confessions aiding further investigations and follow-up operations to track down other members of the criminal network.
Major Zhakom assured that Operation Safe Haven will continue to rely on public support and credible intelligence to dismantle criminal elements and ensure regional safety.
