Fire Razes Residential Building, Shop in Iseyin

IBADAN — The Oyo State Fire Services Agency has confirmed that a fire outbreak on Thursday destroyed a residential building and a shop at Atake, Adebo Axis of Oja-Oba, in the Iseyin area of the state.

The Chairman of the state fire agency, Mr. Moroof Akinwande, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday in Ibadan.

According to Akinwande, firefighters responded promptly to the emergency call, but the blaze had already consumed significant property before it was brought under control.

He further urged residents to prioritize safety measures and avoid practices that could trigger fire incidents, especially during the dry season.

No casualties were reported at the time of filing this report, but investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
