Nigeria TV Info reports: The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), Bayo Ojulari, has seemingly validated concerns recently raised by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, suggesting that the Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna refineries may never become fully operational again. Speaking during an interview with Bloomberg in Vienna, Austria, Ojulari disclosed that NNPC is now exploring several options, including the potential sale of the refineries, as ongoing rehabilitation efforts have failed to produce the expected outcomes. He attributed this to the outdated nature of the facilities, which have become significantly obsolete over time. Earlier on Thursday, Dangote, the President of the Dangote Group, expressed doubt over the future of the refineries, noting that despite over $18 billion reportedly spent on them, they remain non-functional. Ojulari’s remarks reinforce growing skepticism about the viability of reviving the long-dormant plants.
