Germany has officially expanded its Skilled Worker Immigration Law in June 2025. This means that more Nigerians can now qualify to live and work in Germany — especially in high-demand professions.
✅ What Changed in 2025?
Germany now makes it easier for non-EU nationals — including Nigerians — to migrate for work if they have:
Recognized vocational or university qualifications
Basic German language skills (at least A2 level)
A job offer or readiness to search for work inside Germany
The government also created a new “Opportunity Card” (Chancenkarte) which allows people to enter Germany even without a job offer, to search for work legally for up to 1 year.
