Nigeria TV Info — With foreign donor funding for health programmes declining, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Control, Amobi Ogah, has disclosed that Nigeria requires about $8 billion annually to sustain its fight against HIV/AIDS. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 7th National Council on AIDS in Lagos, which gathered policymakers, health experts, civil society, and development partners, Ogah stressed that inadequate funding remains a major challenge in combating the disease in Nigeria and across Africa. He urged the government to take the lead by significantly boosting financial commitment to the sector.
