Abuja, Nigeria — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected back in the nation’s capital, Abuja, on Monday after completing a 10-day working visit to Lagos, where he engaged in a series of high-level meetings and national events.

According to a statement by the President’s Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu arrived in Lagos on Friday, September 26, following his attendance at the coronation ceremony of His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, in Ibadan.

While in Lagos, the President met with several top investors, including Mr. Bayo Ogunlesi, Chief Executive Officer of Global Infrastructure Partners, and Mr. Keem Belo-Osagie, former Chairman of United Bank for Africa and Etisalat, and currently Chairman of Metis Capital Partners. The discussions focused on strengthening investor confidence and deepening partnerships to boost Nigeria’s economic growth.

In addition, President Tinubu received the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Mr. Arsenio Dominguez, who was accompanied by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and other senior officials from the maritime sector. During the meeting, the President reiterated his administration’s commitment to repositioning Nigeria’s maritime industry as a viable alternative revenue source to fossil energy.

As part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, President Tinubu also paid a visit to Imo State, where he inaugurated key infrastructural projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma. The President further unveiled a book authored by the governor, chronicling 10 years of APC governance in Nigeria.

The President is expected to resume official duties in Abuja immediately upon his return.
