Cultists Kill Four in Lagos, Ogun Communities
A renewed cult clash between rival groups has left four people dead in border communities between Lagos and Ogun states. The violent incidents occurred between Monday night and early Tuesday in areas including Ikorodu, Imota, and Ogijo, sparking panic among residents.
Eyewitnesses reported that suspected members of the Aiye and Eiye confraternities engaged in deadly confrontations over territorial control. Victims, mostly young men, were reportedly attacked with machetes and firearms. Police sources confirmed the killings, adding that patrol teams have been deployed to restore order.
The Lagos State Police Command said investigations are ongoing to apprehend the masterminds, while Ogun police vowed to intensify surveillance along the border axis. Community leaders have called for urgent government intervention to prevent further bloodshed.
