Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has officially declared a “great victory” for his country following the end of a 12-day war with Israel, which began on June 13 after Israel launched a wave of airstrikes targeting key Iranian military and nuclear sites. In a nationally broadcast message, Pezeshkian praised the resilience of the Iranian people and the military, stating that their “heroic resistance” forced a ceasefire, which was brokered with international pressure. He confirmed that Iran will fully respect the terms of the truce—so long as Israel also refrains from further aggression.
