The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, has reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s unwavering resolve to defeat terrorists and other non-state actors threatening the nation’s peace and stability.

Speaking during an interdenominational church service held in Abuja to mark the 2025 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL), Lt.-Gen. Oluyede emphasized that the campaign against terrorism would be sustained through well-coordinated and effective counter-terrorism strategies.

“To all those who seek to disrupt the sanctity of our freedom, our heritage of liberty, and our enduring democracy, be assured that your failure is certain and your boast lacks value,” he declared.

The COAS also reiterated the Army’s firm commitment to protecting Nigeria’s sovereignty and defending the rights and freedoms of all citizens.
