210 terrorists surrender to troops in Lake Chad region

More than 210 Boko Haram fighters and their family members have surrendered to troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in the Lake Chad region, following intensified kinetic and non-kinetic operations. The repentant terrorists confessed to participating in attacks across the Bakatolerom, Barkalam, Litri, and Kaiga Ngbouboun areas. Troops also recovered 10 assorted weapons during the operation. The MNJTF described the development as a major blow to the insurgents and a testament to the effectiveness of its comprehensive strategy.
