APC Unveils 73-Member National Convention Committee, Uzodimma Appointed Chairman

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially unveiled a 73-member Central Coordination Committee to oversee preparations for its 2026 National Convention, scheduled for March 27–28, 2026.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State was appointed Chairman, with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State as Vice Chairman and Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State as Secretary.

The committee comprises serving APC governors, senior party leaders, and former national officials, including Senator Abdullahi Adamu, ensuring national representation and continuity. Its mandate includes coordinating logistics, managing party congress outcomes, and ensuring smooth election of the new National Working Committee (NWC).

Party sources said the appointments reflect a strategic mix of experience and political influence, aiming to strengthen unity and prepare the party for the 2027 general elections. Analysts note that Uzodimma’s chairmanship underscores his rising prominence in APC politics.
