JAMB To Release 2026 UTME First-Day Results Today

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that results for candidates who sat the first day of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be released today.

According to a statement by JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, candidates who wrote the exam on Thursday, April 16, 2026, are expected to access their results before midnight.

The board explained that the results are being processed and will be uploaded once final checks are completed. It also assured candidates that an official announcement would be made immediately the results go live on its platforms.

The 2026 UTME, which commenced on April 16, is being conducted nationwide across hundreds of accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, with millions of candidates participating.

JAMB traditionally releases results in batches shortly after each exam day, allowing candidates to quickly verify their performance. Candidates are advised to check their results via the official portal or through the approved SMS channels once released.

This early release reflects the board’s continued effort to improve efficiency, transparency, and credibility in Nigeria’s tertiary admission process.
