Wabara-Led PDP BoT Appoints 13-Member Interim NWC

The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the opposition party, People's Democratic Party (Nigeria), chaired by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, has approved the appointment of a 13-member Interim National Working Committee (NWC) to steer the party through its current internal restructuring phase.

The decision was reached during a high-level BoT meeting aimed at restoring stability, unity, and direction within the party following months of leadership tensions and factional disputes. According to the resolution, the interim committee is expected to oversee day-to-day operations, reconcile aggrieved members, and prepare the ground for a fully elected NWC in line with the party’s constitution.
