APM Urges Security Agencies to Rescue Abducted Ogbomoso Schoolchildren, Principal

The Allied People’s Movement (APM) has called on security agencies to intensify efforts toward rescuing the abducted schoolchildren and principal kidnapped during a deadly attack in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

The party condemned the attack carried out by suspected terrorists at Ahoro-Esinele community in Oriire Local Government Area, describing the incident as barbaric, cruel and a direct assault on education and public safety. The attack reportedly led to the death of an assistant headteacher and a commercial motorcyclist, while several students and the school principal were abducted.

In a statement issued by the party’s National Chairman, Yusuf Dantalle, APM expressed deep concern over the worsening insecurity affecting schools and communities across Nigeria. The party urged security operatives to immediately strengthen rescue operations to ensure the safe return of all victims.

APM also sympathized with the families of those killed and abducted, praying for comfort and speedy rescue efforts. The party further appealed to governments at all levels to improve intelligence gathering, surveillance and community security measures to prevent future attacks.

Meanwhile, security agencies and local authorities have reportedly launched coordinated operations across the affected area as efforts continue to locate the kidnappers and rescue the victims unharmed.
