The body of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari departed London, United Kingdom, on Tuesday morning aboard a Nigerian Air Force aircraft, en route to his hometown of Daura in Katsina State for a state burial. Vice President Kashim Shettima is leading a high-powered Federal Government delegation to oversee final documentation and logistics surrounding the repatriation of the late president’s remains. The Federal Government announced on Monday that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be present in Katsina to officially receive the body before it is laid to rest in Daura, Buhari’s ancestral home.
