A solemn dawn broke over Daura on Tuesday as Nigeria bade farewell to one of its most influential leaders. Former President Muhammadu Buhari was laid to rest in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, marking the end of an era in Nigerian history.
The town and surrounding areas were locked down for a full state burial ceremony that attracted widespread national and international attention. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led the procession, joined by several West African heads of state, Nigerian governors, ministers, legislators, military chiefs, captains of industry, and grieving citizens.
