According to legislative sources, the decision followed growing outrage over viral videos circulating on social media platforms, where suspected criminal elements openly display ill-gotten wealth, weapons, and lifestyles linked to violent activities. Senators expressed concern that such content not only glorifies crime but also undermines national security efforts.

Lawmakers emphasized that the development reflects the increasing intersection between social media and criminal propaganda, urging security agencies to intensify digital surveillance and collaboration with tech platforms to track and apprehend suspects.
