University of Abuja Empowers 12,000 Students with Business Skills

The Yakubu Gowon University, formerly known as the University of Abuja (UniAbuja), has successfully equipped over 12,000 students with vital entrepreneurial skills aimed at fostering self-reliance after graduation. Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Patricia Lar, revealed this during a media parley with journalists on Wednesday in Abuja while highlighting her achievements in office. She emphasized the role of the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and the student empowerment centre in transforming students' experiences. “We have introduced initiatives that make their stay on campus far more enriching,” she added.
