Police Bust ‘One-Chance’ Gang, Arrest Seven Suspects in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested seven suspected members of a notorious "one-chance" robbery syndicate during a coordinated operation aimed at tackling violent crimes across the state.

According to police authorities, the suspects allegedly used commercial vehicles to lure unsuspecting passengers before robbing them of cash, mobile phones, ATM cards, and other valuables. The operation followed credible intelligence and complaints from victims who had fallen prey to the gang.

Police said the suspects were intercepted after a surveillance operation, leading to the recovery of items believed to have been stolen from victims. The command added that investigations are ongoing to determine whether the gang is linked to other robbery incidents within Ogun and neighboring states.

The Commissioner of Police assured residents that the command remains committed to eliminating criminal networks and improving public safety. He urged members of the public to remain vigilant, avoid boarding suspicious vehicles, and promptly report suspicious activities to security agencies.

The arrested suspects are expected to be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
