Nigeria TV Info – The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) recorded a revenue of ₦4.571 trillion in June, down from ₦6.008 trillion in May, reflecting ongoing volatility in global oil markets. Despite the revenue dip, crude oil and condensate production rose from 1.629 million barrels per day (bpd) in May to 1.68 million bpd in June. Natural gas output also increased to 7.581 billion standard cubic feet per day (scf/d), up from 7.352 billion scf/d. Fuel supply improved, with petrol availability at NNPC stations rising to 71% in June from 62% in May.
Progress continued on critical gas infrastructure projects: the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) pipeline reached 83% completion, while the OB3 pipeline remained at 96%. Upstream pipeline availability saw a slight decline from 98% in May to 97% in June. NNPC achieved a major milestone by successfully crossing the River Niger segment of the AKK pipeline, reducing completion risks. A technical review of the OB3 River Niger segment is underway, leveraging insights from AKK.
Refinery assessments for Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna are still ongoing. In June, NNPC also advanced its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, delivering a Financial Literacy Programme to over 67,000 NYSC corps members, bringing the total trained to 870,383. These updates affirm NNPC’s strategic importance in stabilizing Nigeria’s economy during ongoing reforms and fiscal challenges.
