Tinubu’s $21bn Loan Could Bankrupt Nigeria, ADC Alleges

Category: News |
📺 Nigeria TV Info – The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration, calling its handling of the economy “fiscal vandalism” after the National Assembly approved an additional $21 billion in foreign loans. In a statement released on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC warned that this borrowing binge could push Nigeria’s public debt beyond ₦200 trillion by the end of 2025—with no meaningful economic progress to justify it. The party accused President Tinubu of steering the country into a deeper debt trap, even worse than what was experienced under former President Buhari. “What Nigerians are witnessing is a deliberate decision to mortgage the nation’s future to paper over the failures of the present,” the ADC declared.
