Abuja, Nigeria – The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced that filing of annual returns is now available for all business names registered before July 2025.

According to the Commission, a new AI-powered annual returns system is currently being developed. Once implemented, this technology will allow both older businesses (registered before July 2025) and newer ones (created after July 2025) to automatically file and receive approval for their annual returns.

This move is expected to reduce processing delays, improve transparency, and simplify compliance for thousands of Nigerian entrepreneurs.

For now, only business names registered before July 2025 can immediately file their annual returns, while newer businesses will have to wait until the AI system is fully deployed.
