NDLEA Files Forfeiture Suit Against Pretty Mike’s Club Over Alleged Drug Party

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has filed a forfeiture case against a popular Lagos nightclub allegedly owned by socialite Mike Eze-Nwalie Nwogu, widely known as Pretty Mike. The move follows a raid on the club last month, during which NDLEA operatives claimed to have discovered illicit substances and evidence of an ongoing drug-related party.

According to sources within the agency, the forfeiture suit was lodged at the Federal High Court in Lagos after laboratory analyses confirmed traces of banned narcotics found within the premises. NDLEA seeks an interim order to seize and permanently confiscate the property, citing Section 44 of the NDLEA Act, which allows the agency to take possession of any premises linked to drug offences.

Pretty Mike, who was reportedly absent during the raid, has denied any involvement, stating that his establishment operates strictly within legal boundaries and that the alleged substances were planted. His legal representatives have vowed to challenge the NDLEA’s claims, calling the move an attempt to “tarnish a businessman’s image.”

The case has been assigned to Justice Akintunde Savage, with the first hearing scheduled for next week. NDLEA officials have reiterated their commitment to dismantling networks that promote drug use, regardless of social status or influence.
