Super Falcons’ Head Coach, Justin Madugu, has issued a heartfelt apology to Nigerians following the team’s uninspiring goalless draw against Algeria in their final Group B match of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) held in Casablanca on Sunday.

Despite dominating possession and creating several scoring opportunities, the Falcons were unable to find the back of the net, leaving fans disappointed and questioning the team’s form as they continue their quest for a record 10th continental title.

In a post-match interview, Madugu took full responsibility for the outcome, admitting that the performance fell short of expectations. He acknowledged the frustration of supporters and assured Nigerians that the team would work harder to improve in the knockout stages.
