Nigeria TV Info reports:
Crystal Palace chairman, Steve Parish, has announced that the club will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) after UEFA’s decision to demote them from the Europa League to the UEFA Conference League. The decision follows Palace’s remarkable FA Cup final victory over Manchester City in May, which initially secured their spot in the Europa League.
However, UEFA, the governing body of European football, ruled against their participation in the competition, citing a conflict of interest involving former Palace director John Textor, who also holds part-ownership in French club Olympique Lyonnais. Parish has vowed to challenge the ruling, insisting that Crystal Palace earned their place and should not be penalized for issues beyond the players’ control.
