Nigeria TV Info reports:
Serie A champions Napoli have made it clear that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will not be allowed to leave the club for less than €75 million, even though his official release clause expired on Tuesday. While the clause’s expiry could have given Napoli the freedom to renegotiate his valuation—either by reducing or increasing the price—the club has firmly chosen to maintain the €75m asking price.
Osimhen, who has been widely expected to leave the Italian side since last summer following a breakdown in relationship with the club’s management, appeared close to an exit. Turkish giants Galatasaray have shown strong interest in signing him permanently, especially after a successful loan spell last season. However, despite ongoing negotiations that began last week, Napoli have rejected several proposals from Galatasaray, citing the Turkish club’s failure to provide sufficient bank guarantees to secure the full payment for the Super Eagles forward.
