DSS Arraigns Nine over Killings in Benue, Plateau States

The Department of State Services (DSS) yesterday arraigned nine individuals before a Federal High Court in Abuja over alleged involvement in the recent killings in Benue and Plateau States.

The defendants, facing six separate charges, were accused of unlawful possession and dealing in firearms, assisting terrorism activities, and other related offences.

Those arraigned include:

Terkende Ashuwa (46 years) and Amos Alede (44 years) in charge no. FHC/ABJ/CR/448/2025;

Haruna Adamu (26 years) and Muhammed Abdullahi (48 years) in charge no. FHC/ABJ/CR/449/2025;

Halima Haliru Usman (32 years) in charge no. FHC/ABJ/CR/450/2025.


Others are also facing prosecution under different charge numbers in connection with the deadly violence that has rocked the North-Central region.

The case underscores the federal government’s resolve to bring perpetrators of insecurity to justice as communities in Benue and Plateau continue to count losses from the attacks.
